Catching Up

Park days in STG with "Dylan and Monie and Amber."  I hear, "I want to play with Dylan and Monie and Amber," at least once a day, usually more like three or four times!  Every time we go to the park, he asks to play with Dylan.  Even though they are a year apart, Dylan and Drake are almost the same size.  Dylan is such a tiny little lady these days and Drake is seriously huge!  He outweighs Dyl by at least five, if not ten pounds.  They are such cute little friends.

One warm afternoon, we broke out the side walk chalk.  Drake loves to color on anything and the driveway was no exception, except when mom tried to trace his body.  He was not having that!  We had all kinds of "mickeys" on the driveway.  Drake's rendition of Mickey still consists of some random circle looking things and sometimes just straight lines, but he'll tell you every time that he's drawing a Mickey. 

After chalking, Drake decided to zoom his cars down the driveway.  He got a little crazy with some of his zooms and ended up sending his cars underneath my car.  Mom showed him how to fish them out with the broom and he was insistent on trying it himself.  He's a good little worker!

Last week while Chris was down and out with a sinus infection, B & Bah and I took Drake bowling.  We had been bowling the week before with our play group and he had loved it so we decided to make it a mom and Big and B & Bah date night and try it again.  It was a hit, just like the first time!  Drake ended up beating everyone and had a good ol' time pushing the balls down the ramp, making sure all the balls were right in the return, and making sure to tell us which color he wanted every time.  Even though I really miss my sweet little baby boy sometimes, it is so dang fun to have a big boy that we can do these types of things with!
