Baby Drake AKA "Little Weave"

Here he is! I honestly can't believe how incredible these last few days have been.  I find myself staring at my baby amazed that he's actually mine!  Thanks so much to all of you that have left such sweet comments about our new addition.  We are home now and are just settling in and loving our little one.  He is as precious as can be and fits right in with my house full of boys.

Heading home  (these pictures are a bit out of order)
He has blonde hair, just like his daddy.  Yay for blonde and not red!!

Grammy and Drake
The proud daddy! I know everyone thinks they have the best husband in the entire world, and I know that I am biased, but my babe is seriously the best! He was so sweet to me through everything and couldn't be more adorable with his little boy.
Being a mom, even though it's only been one day, is incredible.  It seems like we have waited for this day to come forever and now that it has, I couldn't be more grateful to my Heavenly Father for sending me such an amazing little gift.  Drake is a dream come true for us and we can't wait for all of you to meet him!

Baby Drake is here!

Christopher Drake Weaver was born on January 28th at noon. He weighed 8lb 3oz and is 20 inches long. He is super cute with blonde hair and an adorable nose. Whitney was a freaking trooper and had a smooth labor (according to me.) Mom and baby are doing great! I will post pictures later on tonight! p.s. this is Amber

38 Weeks and the Colburns

Once, again, I am stuck trying to take pictures of myself, which are always iffy, but I never remember to have Chris snap any when he's home, so this is what I have to work with.  As you can see, the belly is large and in charge.  I'm pretty sure the little one can't possible get any bigger in there because I am about stretched to the max!  Hopefully he is so uncomfortable, he decides to come out ASAP! Tonight would be great!!

This past weekend, our best buddies from AZ came to stay with us.  It was soo... nice of them to make the trip with their three kiddies.  We had a blast and love having them here for sleepovers!

Brexton and Cote made sure to give ol' Weaver a run for his money a few times through out the weekend! They made quite the tag team!

On Saturday, Chris, Brinton, and Cote made a trip to Brianhead to enjoy the slopes.  Chris decided to brush up on his skiing this time instead of snowboarding and had a blast!

Saturday night the whole crew, along with the Fackrell's, and Romney's headed over to Pirate Island to try out the pizza.  I have to say, what we ordered wasn't the best, but maybe we'll just have to try something different next time.  The boys loved it though.  Brexton kept referring to the place as Ninja pizza because they made it home with some swords and played with them for the rest of the weekend.

Brexton was a little worn out from the day's activities!

On Monday morning before Chris left for work, Cote requested a smoothy from the amazing Magic Bullet, which he had seem many times on the infomercials.  He watched intently as Chris made it and made sure to tell him all of the cool things that the bullet can do! I think he needs one at his house! Of course Brexton needed a little taste, so Chris made him his own little smoothy cup with a mini straw, just his size!

We had such a great weekend with these wonderful folks! Unfortunately I didn't get any pictures of the little princess Nixin or of the lovely Charlotte, but we love you both and will make up for it next time! We are so blessed to have such wonderful friends!

Bird's the Word!!

Just a quick shout out to my little sis, Bird's the Word!  My predictions a few months ago about whether or not she would end up on a mission just happened to be correct.  This past Saturday, Bird's cute Jare Bear popped the question and they are now officially engaged! Whoo Hoo, Hooray, Yippee!!  All of us Musso's couldn't be happier.  Jare Bear is perfect for Bird and really is the sweetest guy.  We are all thrilled and can't wait for the big day.

Congrats kids! We love you!

Little Weave's room

At last! My little Weave's room is really and truly done! It seemed like the project of the century for both Chris and I and it isn't exactly what I pictured for him, but I think I like it! The paint ended up being okay and everything else came together in the end.  These pictures are really bad because the light in the room is really strange, but it's the best I could come up with.  There are still a few things to be done, baby pictures in the frames, maybe a rug, etc., but for now, it's good.  Thanks to my wonderful husband and mom, my little one has a room all decorated and waiting for him!!

Christmas and more

Christmas for the Weaver's was yet again great! It seemed to come and go WAY too fast, but we were able to enjoy lots of time with family and friends and are now really on our way to being parents!  These are just a few random pictures from the last few weeks.

I was ghetto this year and decided to bag the bows and tags for our gifts.  I figured a little black marker would work just fine! I thought this package from my babe was labeled especially well!

I know, I know, the Sopranos is probably not the best choice for a soon to be dad to be watching, but the boy loves it! I couldn't resist, especially since good ol' Best Buy was having a 50% off sale! I'm not one to ever pass up a good deal!

After four years of marriage, I finally learned to use the grill.  I was a grilling machine all spring and summer but when winter set in and it started to get dark earlier, I began to struggle a bit with getting my meat done enough because I couldn't see well enough with the light we have by the grill.  Every time I had to microwave or throw the steaks back on the grill, I would tell Chris that I needed a headlamp so I could see what I was doing without having to hold the stupid flashlight! Lo and behold, what did I get for Christmas... a headlamp!  I've yet to try it out, but I'm pretty excited about it! It was more of a joke than anything but hey, if it works, why not!!

Pictures taken by ourselves, never turn out very well, but it's better than nothing!

35 Weeks... my cone has morphed into a basketball!

Our palm trees had a rough few days after our little snow storm. Desert plants and snow obviously don't mix!

The most snow out little house has ever seen!
