3 Months!

My munchkin is three months old!  This last month has been full of new things for this little boy! His little personality is beginning to show itself and Chris and I are loving each new development!

Things to remember about Drake at 3 months:

* He is still a wild man.  His arms and legs are as crazy as ever.  I still have to swaddle him at night because he wakes himself up with his hands if I don't.

* He has the sweetest little smile and giggle.  He is still really smiley in the mornings but will smile any time if you talk to him or sing him silly little songs.

* He has grown out of almost all of his 0-3 month clothes.  His 3-6 month clothes are a tad big, but are much more comfortable.

* He is a great sleeper.  He now goes to bed at 9:30 pm and will sleep until 8:00 am.  After a quick breakfast at 8:00, he goes back to bed until around 11:00.

* He has finally mastered the art of sleeping in his crib!!!  I can now lay him down wide awake and he will sooth himself to sleep, as long as he has his blankie to snuggle.

* He is obsessed with my baby blankie.  He will lay with it over his entire face and rub his face in it as long as I will let him.

* He loves to sit in his bouncer or on his toy mat and bat at his toys.  He can grab onto them but he still doesn't quite know what to do with them once he has them in his hand.

* He is a bubble and drool machine!  He is always wet from drool.  Yuck!

* He loves to stuff his fists in his mouth.  If he doesn't have a binky in his mouth, he is usually gnawing away on his hands.

* He only poops every other day now and when he does, it's a nightmare! He messes all over everything.  Thank goodness for Oxy Clean!

*   He is getting pretty good at holding his head up.  He still has to sit a little lopsided in the Bumbo, but he's getting stronger every day.

* He doesn't sound like a newborn anymore when he cries. :( I miss it already!  He has a really low pitched cry.

* He loves to be outside and loves to go for walks around the neighborhood with his brothers!

* He is a super sweet natured little boy.  He brings the most amazing spirit to our home.  I am one lucky mommy!

A taste of his own medicine!

For anyone that knows my two little dogs, these pictures will make you smile! I was sitting here at my computer a few minutes ago and just happened to notice that Reggie was sulking around and then just plopped down in the corner of the room, as close to the wall as he could get.  It took me a minute to realize why he was pouting, but as soon as I saw Tobie, I knew! Reggie was experiencing a little taste of his own medicine!  He terrorizes poor Tobie on a daily basis with his stupid ball and bone and today, he was getting paid back.  Tobie ended up with the bone and just happened to make himself comfortable right next to Reggie's beloved ball.  It was perfect!  Unfortunately, Tobie's unknowing pay back was short lived and Reggie once again has the bone and is being a little punk, growling and snarling at Tobie if he even glances his way.  Ahh... the joys of "sibling rivalry"!!

I have a fishy!!

On Wednesday, Lindsay and cute Cohen invited Drake and I to her aunt's house for a little swim.  Drake loves his baths but he had yet to be in an actual pool, so I was excited to see how he would do.  The weather was perfect and the water was heavenly, making it a great day for a first swim! And... he LOVED it! I was so happy.  Little water babies are so much fun.  I am so looking forward to many more days in the water with my little fishy!

As soon as he was out and dry, he crashed! It's hard work to be held in a pool!  Cohen was so cute with the babe.  He was so soft and sweet!  Thank you, thank you to Linds and Cohen for an awesome afternoon!

Baby, baby, and more baby

As always, more pictures of the baby! There is really nothing else exciting going on around here to report about so we just take lots and lots of pictures of the Little!

His cute Easter outfit. We had to do a reenactment of Easter last Sunday because we were driving home from AZ on Easter.  By the time we got home from church, Drake was not happy to still be wearing this get-up, but we managed to snap a few cute ones.

My little Chunky Monkey!

Still working on mastering the Bumbo

He has discovered the art of blowing bubbles and is a blankie baby, just like his mom! Most people would probably be embarrassed to admit that they still sleep with a blankie at 26, but not me! That's right... I still sleep with my blankie every night and now my little son does too! Whenever I put it next to him, he snuggles his little face into it and is as happy as can be.  When I was pregnant, my mom bought him one of his own and he has also taken a quick liking to it.  The pictures are from the other day during a nap (in his crib!!!). He had both blankies by his face and was as happy as a little lamb!  My blankie is really pretty haggard and I'm sure I will give it up someday, but for now, it stays and the tradition shall carry on!

Weekend in AZ

Over Easter weekend, we took our little one on his first road trip to visit the Colburn's in Arizona for Cote's baptism.  Drake was awesome in the car! He slept the entire way and slept through the night with out even a peep! We are so grateful for our good little guy!

He loved Nixin's little toy mat

Hello friend!!

Colburn cuteness! We always have such a good time with the Colburns.  Good friends are such a blessing!

One last pic that may get me in big trouble with my babe! He will kill me when he sees this here, but... if you're going to wear it, I might as well share it! He was oh so sexy in his "sweet" new jersey that he happily purchased from GenX, of all places!

Toys and a little daddy love

My little son has begun to play with toys! On one hand, I am so excited because he can now entertain himself for more than two minutes, but on the other, I am a little sad because I know this means he is really growing up! I know, I know, he's still a tiny baby, but it's a bit sad to realize how fast they change and to think that he will never be tiny and brand new again!

I have the most handsome boys in the whole world! My babe is an amazing daddy to our boy and I am so grateful to have such a wonderful husband that is willing to work so hard to take care of our family!
