Four Weeks!

Where have the last four weeks gone?? I can't believe that my little son is this old already! It was just yesterday that I was big as a barn and anxiously awaiting his arrival.  He has changed so much in such a short time.  People always tell me to enjoy every second because it flies by and they sure aren't kidding!

Things to remember about Drake at four weeks...

* He hates, hates, hates to be swaddled with his arms at his sides.  He wiggles around until he gets at least one free

* He is a mover and a shaker.  He constantly kicks and squirms around like a big boy!  He makes jerky movements with his hands and feet, just like he did while in the belly

* Warm milk runs right through the little boy. He'll be all clean and changed, start to eat and fill his diaper within five minutes of being changed!

* He hates, to be changed, dressed, lotioned, and burped.  He acts like he's being abused until he's all done and cuddled.

* He hated his sponge baths but loves his real baths. He loves to sit in the warm water and hasn't peed in the tub yet.

* He has to be burped four or five times while eating or else his belly will hurt and he'll be fussy

* He hates to sleep in his crib.  The longest nap in the crib to date is only about twenty minutes.

* He's spoiled already! He isn't very content to just sit in his swing or bouncer while awake for very long. He knows that there is always someone around to hold him.

* He loves his car seat and falls right to sleep as soon as we get him all tucked in.

* He gets the nasty hiccups all the time and they usually make him puke.

* Most nights, he goes to bed around eleven, will sleep until four, eat a little something, and pass out again until eight or so.

* He's a very quiet sleeper.

* He may have a little acid reflux issue.  What goes down, usually tries to come back up, even when he's trying to sleep.  He cries out for a second, swallows a few times and is fine.
